Itinerary

DAY 1:

Pick up from hotel.

Transfer to airport.Flight to Erzurum .Transfer from Erzurum Airport to hotel.Free time and overnight in Erzurum.

DAY 2:

Breakfast ,depart for the Seljuk monuments of Erzurum ,Cifte Minareli Medrese,the old school of theology Ulu Cami,the oldest mosque in Erzurum with its beautiful wooden dome ,domed tombs.Lunch in Kars,continue to Ani .Visit the site located on a plateau near the gorges of the Arpa
Of Cayi which course has delimited the border between Armenia and Turkey.Drive back to Kars , overnight in Kars.

DAY 3:

Breakfast,depart for Dogubeyazit located at the foothills of Mount Ararat.This volcano that culminates at 5,165m/16,945ft,is the highest mount in Anatolia and where Noah´s Ark is thought to have landed after the Deluge.Visit Ishak Pasa Palace where Persian ,Armenian,Georgian ,Seljuk and Ottoman styles have been mixed.Drive along the Iran border.Stop at Muradiye Waterfalls for Lunch.Continue toVan ,the ancient Tushpa and the capital city of the Urartu Kingdom.Visit the citadel,overnight in Van.

DAY 4:

Breakfast,and morning drive to Cavustepe and visit the 800 BC Urartian citadel .Continue to Hosap village impressively crowned by a castle .Drive to Lake Van ,the biggest Lake of Turkey .After Lunch in Gevas ,boat excursion to Akdamar Island where stands the 1000AD Holy Cross Church whose facades are ornamented with beautiful reliefs depicting scenes from the Bible ,Armenian King Gagik,animals and vine .Return to Van .Overnight in Van

DAY 5:

Breakfast and morning drive along the North shore of Lake Van to visit Ahlat and its Seljuk cemetery with different tombstones and mausoleums.Lunch in Tatvan .Continue to Bitlis and stop in this picturesque town located in a narrow and deep valley .Arrive in Diyarbakir ,a big city located near the right bank of the Tigris River .Visit the impressive city walls and the Grand Mosque .Transfer to Airport for flight to Istanbul or continue to your next destination.
